This last Saturday night Bad Love Session, a band of some of my friends, played a show at the Masonic Temple in Marysville. Much to my disappointment, there were not very many people present to witness the musical glory of Bad Love Sessions. Before Bad Love Sessions hit the “stage” the crowd listened to two other bands, one whose name isn’t even a real word - Deceptance. I looked it up and the dictionary doesn’t lie! The band provided energy but it didn’t seem to reach the crowd as everyone was just stanging around, no dancing at all. After waiting and much anticipation, Bad Love finally hit the “stage” and rocked.

If you’re 13-18, you should definitely check it out, not just because of famous people but because writing is one of the best skills you can have, whether you’re writing song lyrics, show reviews, or your maybe just your term paper.

Welcome to 2006 all. First order of business: new writers. We’re planning on adding a section of album reviews (details below), as well as looking for some new show reviewers, and even photographers. Pretty much anything really. We’re looking for people (not necessarily underage) with a love of all-ages music and the local scene who want to make a difference, meet people, and like seeing their name in print. Interested? As mentioned above, we’re adding album reviews within the next month or two. Attention will be given to underage bands, then local bands, and then to whatever the heck else we want to write about. We figure it’s good to keep up not only on shows, but what albums...
